2. Principle
We process personal data only where it is necessary in order to answer your enquiry and to carry out the work you have commissioned, or where you have given your consent. We do not sell data and we do not pass it on for advertising purposes.
3. Data when visiting this website
This website uses:
- no contact form – you reach us directly by telephone or e-mail
- no embedded third-party fonts, maps or content
- no advertising or social-media pixels (no Facebook pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag)
Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager
Since 1 September 2026 we have used Google Tag Manager (container GTM-5V6P26JB) and, through it, Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-6Q2XGSPVNX). The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
We use these tools solely to understand how our pages are found and read: which pages are opened, where visitors come from, and whether our guides are read to the end. We do not build profiles of individuals and we do not run advertising on this site.
The following data is processed: shortened IP address, date and time, page viewed, referring
source, approximate location at country and region level, device type, browser and operating system.
We additionally record three events: a click on a telephone number (anruf_klick), a click
on an e-mail address (email_klick) and reading depth within the guides
(lesetiefe). These events contain no information about you personally, only the position
on the page where the click occurred.
Cookies: Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) in
order to recognise returning visits, with a storage period of up to fourteen months. Data retention
in Google Analytics is limited to fourteen months.
Legal basis and transfer: processing is based on our overriding interest in operating and improving this website in line with actual demand (art. 31 revFADP). Data may be transferred to the United States. Google LLC is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Objection: you can prevent this collection at any time – through the “Do Not Track” setting or the tracking protection in your browser, through a script or ad blocker, or through Google's browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can continue to use this website without restriction.
When the site is called up, server log files are created – as on any web server. They generally contain the IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested, the browser used and the operating system. This data serves solely the secure and stable operation of the site, cannot be attributed to a specific person and is deleted automatically after a short period.
4. Data when you contact us
If you contact us by telephone or e-mail, we process the details you provide – typically your name, contact details and the information about the grave and the municipality that we need in order to assess your case. We use this data solely to deal with your enquiry and to carry out the work.
5. Disclosure to third parties
In order to carry out an exhumation, a relocation or a repatriation, we have to pass on certain data to the authorities and service providers involved – in particular to the responsible municipality and cemetery administration, where applicable to the cantonal or district medical officer, and for transport abroad to the consulate of the destination country and to the carrier. We disclose only what the respective body actually requires.
Our website is hosted in Switzerland. Beyond this, no data is passed to third parties except as described under section 3.
6. Retention
We retain enquiry and mandate data for as long as is necessary for the purpose and for as long as statutory retention obligations require – for business records generally ten years. Data in Google Analytics is deleted after fourteen months.
7. Data security
This website is delivered exclusively in encrypted form via HTTPS. We also take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss and misuse.
8. Your rights
Within the framework of applicable law you have, in particular, the right to obtain information about the personal data we process, the right to have inaccurate data corrected, the right to erasure, and the right to receive or transfer your data. You may also object to processing. Please write to info@exhumation.ch. Proof of identity may be required for identification purposes.
9. Changes
We may amend this declaration at any time. The version published on this website at the time of your visit is the one that applies.
